Hôtel de la Plage

Located in the peaceful Port-Vieux district, the Hôtel de la Plage, a legendary Biarritz establishment, was given a facelift in the spring of 2022 to be reborn as a modern and comfortable boutique hotel, while retaining its legendary authenticity.

The ceilings on the ground floor, in the boutique and library area, were treated with convex and spaced wooden tiles, combining visual comfort and acoustic performance in a warm atmosphere. Together with the architect, the Oberflex teams developed this simple and modular ceiling system, composed of solid wood profiles and Ash panels, which are flexible and mechanically bent at the time of installation.
