3D carved panels
Marotte carved is a collection of 20 sculptures, which includes emblematic models such as the Thalweg, Diamond, or Zen Wave. The aesthetic result of these 3D sculpted panels is governed by the path, angle and speed of rotation of the machining tool whose shape is specially designed for each model.
With the Rencontre collection, Architect-cum-designer Patrick Jouin reinvents ornamentation and plays with all the possibilities afforded by the machine. Besides focusing exclusively on materials and how to shape them, Patrick Jouin also works on shaping light as an entity in its own right.
