Ober is celebrating its 100th anniversary

THE EXHIBITION CELEBRATING OBER’S 100TH ANNIVERSARY

From September 4 to 8 at Galerie Joseph, 5-7 rue Bailly, Paris 3

To mark its 100th anniversary, as part of Paris Design Week, the Ober Group is presenting an immersive exhibition designed by Normal Studio. For the occasion, the duo has created seven site-specific installations using Ober’s signature materials — striking, architectural interventions that explore the company’s heritage, technical expertise, and creative vision.

This unique experience will be on view from Thursday, September 4 to Monday, September 8, 2025, at Galerie Joseph, located at 5-9 rue Bailly in Paris’s 3rd arrondissement.

Inside Galerie Joseph, visitors will encounter seven architectural “follies” — installations that reveal the aesthetic and functional potential of the group's materials in contemporary interior design.

The journey begins with an “introduction to the materials”: twenty totems pairing Oberflex wood veneers with Concrete LCDA panels, forming a rich chromatic palette like a monumental color chart. At its center, a 6 m long wood tablee invites visitors to engage in a tactile, visual dialogue between materials . Custom stools crafted from off-cuts used to make the monumental color chart surround the installation.

Over the past 100 years, Ober has crafted a rich, forward-looking story — one of materials, experimentation, and creative encounters. This history will be celebrated with a dedicated exhibition at Galerie Joseph (Paris 3rd), held as part of Paris Design Week from September 4 to 8, 2025. Conceived by Normal Studio — artistic directors of Oberflex and Concrete LCDA since 2024 — the show invites visitors on an immersive journey through the materials, craftsmanship, and design ethos that define Ober today.
